An interesting project came our way – to design and manufacture a prototype vintage car supercharger that resembled the pre-war No. 9 Cozette, but ours had almost no wearing parts inside. This was not an entirely new project for our boss, Guy Black, as he created this exact same design at least 35 years ago whilst at Lynx Cars. The blades do not actually touch the outside of the drum bore, unlike the original design, which was complicated and wore rapidly. On test, ours even produced noticeably more ‘puff’ than the original item!
